These "PD Information" pages contain the text of a talk given at the PALS meeting on January 16th, 2000 by Dr. Timothy Lynch, Consultant Neurologist at the Mater Private Hospital, and Medical Director of PALS. This was a wide-ranging and detailed presentation which touched on the many aspects of Parkinson's Disease, including recent research and current treatment options.

Before his return to Ireland, Dr Lynch worked in the States for number of years in the field of movement disorders, including Parkinson's. The area in which he works is primarily that of the genetic aspects of PD, because that is a field which he says is opening up a number of possibilities in different areas of medicine, including Parkinson's Disease.
