Geometry on the Web

Task 2: Learn the symbols (letters and signs) which are used to refer to the ideas you have met so far.  So check back over Section 1 of observations(1) (on Words and Meanings; Angles) and Section 4 of  observations(2).

Learning Stage 2:

A study of various angles and the patterns they form in Section 2 of observations(1) (on Words and Meanings; Angles).  There are 4 ideas to remember.

Learning Stage 3:

This is followed up by applying these observations to

theorems(1 to 10) with Constructions(1,2,3)     (All levels of examination). The ideas about Congruence in Section 5 of  observations(2) are needed to understand the proofs of many of these theorems.

and at Higher Level theorems(12 to23) and theorem(24) with Constructions(4,5,6)

which can be proved by linking a number of observations in a proof.

Learning Stage 3:

Learning these proofs ‘off by heart’ is required at Higher Level Junior Cert.

You can also see other links for learning.
