Vire Engines - Hard Copy of Operator's Manuals, Brochures, etc.

Vire 7 and Vire 12

If you need "hard copy" of the manual, the latest version of the manual, revised in 1992 and covering the Vire 7 and the Vire 12, can be purchased from Masnedø Marinecenter A/S, the last manufacturers.

If you want to print your own copy, several versions of the older 1975 and 1987 Operator's Manuals are available for download from the list below. Some of these are big files (up to 2.6MB), so check the file size before downloading.

Please note that these manuals are copies or reproductions of the originals. In many instances, the corresponding page on this website contains more detailed information, updates or notes.

Vire 7 only

• Very small text (.txt) file retyped from the 1975 European Operator's Manual (36KB). You will have to print off the images separately.
• Reproduction, as a big Acrobat (.pdf) file, of the 1975 European Vire 7 Operator's Manual and Spare Parts Lists (Valmet) (2.6MB). This is as nearly authentic as I can make it, although the Spare Parts List has the Westerbeke part reference numbers (where available) as well as the Vire/Valmet reference numbers.
• Big Acrobat (.pdf) file of the 1975 United States Operator's Manual (Westerbeke) (1.9MB).
• Big Acrobat (.pdf) file of the 1975 European Operator's Manual, in Swedish (Valmet) (1.7MB). My thanks to Tero Stjernstoft for this file.
• Acrobat (.pdf) file of the Service Manual for Tillotson HL Series Carburettors (882KB) used in the Vire BV, BVK and BVR, and in the Vire 7. These carburettors were NOT used in the Vire 12.

Vire 7 & 12
