Membership

Joining a credit union is easy. Once you are over 16 years of age and are within the Common Bond, all you do is apply for membership and once accepted pay a small entrance fee and start saving by purchasing shares in the credit union . After this you should continue saving regularly - even small amounts which will both give you the habit of thrift and add to the savings pool. Adults may open Junior Accounts on behalf of their children.

The Common Bond is that factor which unites all members of a credit union. In our case a member must reside or work within our common bond area. The following areas form our Common Bond: The Parishes of Roscommon, Athleague, Kilbride, Oran, Knockcroghery, Dysart & Taughboy and the DED of Rosmoylan.
