Fishing news and reports

Greetings everyone. I’m just back from filming part two of my new video mayfly fishing in Ireland. it will be available shortly. the fishing reports locally are as follows .Lough Derg is still producing large bags of bream on the feeder, with our own Kieron Walsh having over eighty pounds last week,(middle of July).pike are scarce enough, anglers blaming the very dry weather. Doon lake is fishing well at the moment, lots of pike being caught on the troll .Kieron was out at the beginning of July with two French anglers and they landed eleven pike to fourteen pounds. both ladies said that they would be back. salmon are scarce also, some fish caught at Plassey on the Shannon. John Lyons from rearcross had a couple of excellent days fishing for sea trout on the river Feale returning all but two. my local river, the maigue is almost impossible to fly fish because of all the weeds. at Adare the tidal stretch is stuffed with dace. they are competing for food with the trout. hats all for now. back at the middle of august.

Tune in next week for more info.
