Walks by the riverMc Namara's self-catering holiday homes are an excellent holiday base. Whether you want to take advantage of our central location in the country and take trips from Dublin, Cork, Kerry, Galway, Limerick or Waterford, or engage in activities locally, such as Golf, Pitch and Putt, Walking, Cycling, Horse-riding, cruising or water sports on Lough Derg. Excellent fishing, mountain, forest or hill walks, cycle routes, and heritage centres all within easy reach ….. the choice is yours! Indeed, for the ideal break, why not do a little of both, safe in the knowledge that you will always have a comfortable "home" to return to!

Killoscully ChurchHere is a list of some of the local activities that you can enjoy:
Walking - it's a walker's paradise around this area, you can ramble along the quiet country roads, a visit to the local village or tackle Keeper Hill if you are feeling up to it!
Cycling - Bicycles can be rented in Nenagh, and there are a number of mapped and sign-posted cycle routes in the area, again some are more strenuous that others so you can easily choose one that suits you.
There is horse-riding and pony trekking available in Nenagh and Newport, just 15 minutes drive away. These schools supply all the necessary equipment including hard hats, and can facilitate people at all levels.

Lough DergLough Derg is beautiful and boats can be rented at Killaloe or Portumna.
Adjacent to Golf at Adare and Roscrea, and Pitch and Putt in Murroe.

At night, there are lively pubs and excellent restaurants with live music all within a short distance. The local paper is the best guide to find out what's on where, or better still, just ask Todd!
